Girl Talk

Hello All!!

This weather is absolutely WONDERFUL!!! 

 I love the cool breeze blowing and the leaves are just starting to change colors.

Tuesday night I met a few of my high school friends at Jeffersons. Everyone could not go because of different reasons. We missed those that could not  be with us but it is just another excuse to do it again.  ;)

Our friend Angie sent us all a message on FB and we all at once got our phones out and started checking. It was so funny to see everyone on there phone. What in the world did we do without cell phones when we were in school.  I am thinking it was a good thing......Sophie Clare may have a tracking devise on hers. hehe. I think I am just kidding. lol

Mommy's Helper

Yesterday was such a great day for Sophie Clare and I. We played for a while, cleaned the house and rearranged the porch.  I got in the mood to make some cupcakes and thought it would be fun for Sophie Clare to help. I pulled a chair up for her to stand on and she was ready.

First we poured in our cake mix.

 

Then the eggs and oil.

 

Next comes the water.

 

Now it is time to mix. When I turned it on, she was not sure about it. She started very quickly to get out of the chair. I am not sure why it bothered her because loud noises usually don't. Needless to say she got use to it. I took the beaters off and showed her out to lick it. She kept wanting to dip it back into the batter and lick again.  

 

We were starting to make a total mess.......oh well!!

It was so fun to watch her.

I told her to dip her finger in it and that she

 was not sure about at first.

She so got the hang of that quick.

Later that afternoon, we had company and visited with a long lost cousin.

I had got the lotion out for Sophie Clare and I have left her MANY times unattended. She has NEVER EVER been messy with it at all. I had gone to the kitchen for just a minuite and when I came back this it what I found. I took the lotion from her after I took the picture and told her we don't do that.

I am real tough. hehe

I love being her mother and I am very thankful that God chose me!!

Closet Organizing

I love NATE Berkas!! He is wonderful and inspires me to clean, organize, decorate and save money. I am totally loving  his show.

Last week, I had Jamie make me some extra hanging space in the closet that was much needed.  I  did not really go through my clothes because I just did that not to long ago. Although I did color cordinate my side and I also had a very special helper along the way.

Look really close and you can see Sophie Clare behind the clothes.

There she is!!

Jamie was sweet enough to take one side of the closet and let me have the rest. Now  he is running a very close race in having just as many clothes as me. hehe

I went through my shoes and my mother was a help on that.

Boy, I had some ugly shoes. 

 I ended you getting rid of about 14-16 pairs shoes.

I think that is pretty good.

We were not all about our looks on this particular day.

We were on a mission.

                            

                    I still can not put all my shoes in the closet but that I am not concerned about.

                                                                            hehe

I  still have some work to do on it but I am very please so far.

Friends & Football

Hi Yall!!

I am loving this cool weather here in my neck of the woods. 

 I am just praying it stays like this!!

This past weekend was totally A-W-E-S-O-M-E!

We headed over to Cassy and Dustin's to watch a little Bama football.

Let me just say, Nick was ill and we all were a littel concerned about our TIDE. Thank goodness they pulled through like we knew they could!!

We have a total blast when we hang with them. You would think we have known each other our while lives.

It's A Chicken Thing

I had been wanting a hook to hand my aprons on in the kitchen. I was lucky enough to hit on the 50% off day and got it for  $3.00. 

It was a rusty color but I painted it red!!

                         

I bought this at the thrift store to add with a grouping on top of my cabinets.

$2.00 

This is one of my most favorite finds!!  Angie and a few of her neighbors had a yardsale and I will show a couple of other things later.

I am going decorate with them but I am also going to use them at Sophie Clare's birthday party for her candy table!!

Imagination

When I was a little girl, I was all about imaginary play. I played school, store, town, made grass houses after the lawn was freshly mowed but my most favorite thing to do was to play with babies. When I had Sophie Clare, I could not wait to introduce babies to her.  She has had a baby since the day she was born but never played with them. I always dreamed of the day that we could not leave home without a baby or a purse. We are now pretty much to that point and I am totally loving it.

She is such a good little mommy.

She hugs, rocked, feeds and pushes her babies in a stroller.

 It is the sweetest thing ever.

I love those sweet piggies!!

Now this girl knows style!!
