Calling All Cats

Let me start by saying that I am a CAT lover!! 

 Before I had Sophie Clare ..........well you might have called me  the "cat lady"  

 I had my calico for about 12 yrs. She disappearred when we went to the beach.

 I have had many others that I have loved dearly.

I love one that can come in during the Winter time and lay around. 

 I had decided after Calie had disappeared that I would get Sophie Clare a kitten.

Well that seems to not be necessary anymore.

We had this huge, friendly, beautiful cat come up and we could not have ask for a better cat!!

She can lay on it,

rub her feet on it,

kiss it,

pick up it's paw.......

The t t just lays there.

My Favorite Girls

Sunday afternoon, we had a 50th wedding anniversary gathering.

Angie did not get to come but my brother brought the girls and they all looked beautiful in there PUMPKIN dresses.  When we all finished, we headed outside for the girls to play for a bit and visit.

Me and Emily had a talk about Indians and corn.

 She is such a sweetie.

Sophie Clare is taking notes. haha

I of course had my camera with me and thought what a great opportunity to get some pictures of the girls. They were all pretty willing to have there pics made so I went to snapping.

Grips and Holes

How many of you LOVE to SNACK??

I know I do and so does Sophie Clare "somedays".

Have you ever tried the Cheez-it Grips??

We love them. 

We get them at Wal-Mart in a big box. Sophie Clare has not really wanted them in a while, I guess she got tired of them.  

Yesterday, I offered them to her and she wanted them. 

I thought " OH GOOD" !!  

Well NOT oh good..........OH BAD!!!!

I was working on some Christmas stuff and I heard her grunting like she needed help. I turned to her and said, WHAT"S WRONG?? 

She stuck that cute finger up her nose. I thought she might be having a booger problem.  haha  

NO, She had stuck a grip up her sweet nose.

 I am not one to panic.

 I tried to get it with a pair of tweezers but was afraid I would push it farther up her nose. Every time she thought I got it, she would say YAY!!! 

So cute!!

 Long Story Short..........Ben came and got it out with NO problem at all.

 Sophie Clare was such a sweet girl.

She did not cry at all.

Thank you Ben for coming and helping us out!!
 I sure am glad we have a paramedic and a nurse in our family!!

Someone's Cooking

The Birthday girl's gift came in last Wednesday and dear ole DAD wanted to wait till her birthday. 

 Sweet MOM, could not wait another day.  haha, J/K Jamie!! 

 Last night I told him that we were putting it together.

So he and Sophie Clare were in the bedroom playing on the bed. 

 I get the BIG HEAVY box in the kitchen and open it............

What did I see??? . 

 All it was........just a big stack of red wood.

It was really hard to see a kitchen in that stack.

I was very encouraging to Jamie that

Sophie Clare and I  were going to be big helpers.

See what big helpers we are.........

I am taking pictures and Sophie Clare is making sure her daddy is doing a good job. hehe

We were getting in the way just a bit so I took Sophie Clare for her bath.

She came back to a sink and a stove!!

YAY DADDY!!

 

She was ready to break it in and put her snack in it.

We were in the way once again so Sophie Clare and I headed to Cassy's house.

When we came back an HOUR later, Jamie only liked a couple more things.

Finally it was finished and Sophie Clare was so EXCITED and LOVED it!!

It was worth all that hard work.

It took about  3 hrs to put it together and there were about 39 pieces.

Thank you Daddy for putting it together and thank you mommy for pushing him!! !

My Sweet Monkey

We now have a MONKEY on our hands. She is wanting to climb on everything. She will even try to climb up the cabinet doors in the kitchen. 

I was getting ready to put the BIG door in the attic for a while.

She just has not played with it much.

 Needless to say was not having it.

So it is back in our SMALL living room for the time being.

She is using it to prepare to be a wall climber one day.

She did not want any help at all.

She did all of this on her on.

 I was there just in case.

YAY!!!

 I did it!!

It's Beginning

To Look A Lot Like CHRISTMAS!!

Friday morning I decided to start doing a little decorating. I started feeling a little overwhelmed with Thanksgiving, Iron Bowl and a sweet birthday to celebrate.  I was excited about getting the tree out, lights on and the ornaments hung. I could not wait to see what Sophie Clare would think.

She was not really into helping me decorate the tree. Although if she saw an ornament shaped like a ball. She would pick it up and try to throw it. haha 

She enjoyed looking at all the different kinds and her favorite one so far is a Santa ornament.

We are not even close to being finished in out decorating but we have a good jump start.

Sweet Talk

Most of you know that Sophie Clare will be turning the big 2 November 29.  She has said very little besides dah, mama (which she stopped saying long ago). Not anymore, this sweet little girl is trying to say tons of stuff.

She says MAMA all the time now. YAY!!! 

 I have been counting to ten for a while now. She can KINDA count with me. 

 You can ask her how old she is going to be and she will say two.

She said her first sentence this week........Neeene home. (Janine)

milk milk, ju (juice) t t  is for kitty, bah bah is for Braden,  T is for TV, boon is for balloon, bu is for bubbles,  E is for Emily, bite bite, eat,  snack, pop. She also said green beeeen this week. SO SWEET!!

She will try to say lots of stuff , now it does not always sound just right but I praise her for trying.

She is has said GRAN before but now she is calling my mom, mama.

I have a feeling once she really gets going , she will not stop.

She is such a sweetie!!

 I can't wait to see what is next!!

Braden & Sophie Clare

Yesterday I got the sweet pleasure of watching Braden for a couple of hrs. He loves coming over to play with Sophie Clare "Sosha" as Braden says.  They had the best time playing, running and snacking.  Braden has started saying all kinds of things. While we were playing with blocks, he was saying some letters and Sophie Clare was trying to say them to!!
