In The Courtyard

Friday evening we headed to Gadsden to Lowe's to get out NEW light/fan for the porch. YAY!!  I can't wait to share with you!! I just love it!!  Then we headed to The Courtyard for dinner. We love to go and eat outside. Sophie Clare is able to get up and move around. Plus there is always good music.
Sophie Clare has never noticed the children on the park bench before. She wanted to sit with them and check out the book they were looking at. It was so cute to watch her face. She would just look at them and study them. She defiantly had her thinking cap on. haha
The fountain wasn't on when we first got there but they were sweet enough to cut it on for her. She threw all my change in there. She would grab one and throw and kept coming back for more. She is such a sweet girl!!

I never know who is playing.  Sometimes we get a sweet surprise and know someone in the band.  The group is called Swing Street.  Rod the 1st guy playing the sax used to be my aunts boss. It was really good to see him and hear him play! It was a special treat!!

When we left, we stopped for a quick photo shoot.

We had a wonderful time and can't wait to go back!!

How was your weekend??
Did you do anything fun??

I CAN NOT WAIT!!

I am so excited about going to the beach!!
I have looked forward to it all Summer long!!  I love just getting out of town and away from the everyday life. Now, everyday life is fun and I love it but it sure is nice to  get away.

I can't wait to feel the sand between my toes and hear the waves crash.
I can't wait to hang at "The Hangout"

I can't wait to take pictures of Sophie Clare on the beach!!

I can't wait to see how she loves it this year!!
We are staying at a new place which we are excited about.

Look at those curls.

Other things I look forward to....................
Lulu's
The Warf
Lamberts
The Outlets
Sitting on the balcony
And seeing it all through Sophie Clare's eyes!!

I love asking Sophie Clare what we are going to do at the beach.
She said find seashells, eat with dada, swim and play!!

Swimming, Home, Swimming Home

It's Summer Time and I want to spend as much time at the pool as possible.
Sophie Clare has other plans...............
What plans does my 2 1/2 year old have??
Staying at home!!
Monday we headed to the pool and Sophie Clare was all for it for about 15 mins. We ended up staying 30 mins and coming home. Why does she do this, I have no clue because she loves the water!! She jumps splashes, swims and plays up a storm.  I don't think she is burn out because I don't go enough.  Yesterday we went back to the pool and I got a whole hour and 45 mins!!  YAY ME!!
Check out my cutie enjoying herself!!

A Picnic, Park and Kangaroos

Today was a fun, hot and busy day!!
We met my friend Jennifer at the park for a picnic and the kiddos had a blast as usual.  Then it was off to the "Deer Farm".  We all were so excited about seeing the deer but even more excited to see the kangaroos.   We got to get up close and personal with them. I loved it just as much at the children!!
Enjoy the pics!!
When we first got there, we looked at the deer a while.  Maddie and Cole showed there excitement but sweet Sophie Clare just held hers in. haha
Sophie Clare warmed up a bit and tried feeding the deer some grass.

Here are 2 of the kangaroos.
They were so cute and soft!!
They were hoping all over the place.

Then here is when we all got excited.............
A SWEET BABY KANGAROO.
It stays in a bag most of the time and they hang it on a door knob.
It's name is Zoe and is 4 months old.
Sophie Clare getting down to check it out.

Petting  the sweet baby!! Oh it was just the cutest thing you have ever laid your eyes on.

Yes, Sophie Clare decided she needed her crown on to see the deer and kanagroos!

Sophie Clare was out on holding it and that's ok. She was good just petting it!!
Then it was off to see more deer. I can not tell you how many deer they have but it is a lot. Lots of babies, mama's and daddy's!!

We had a fabulous time!!
Can't wait to see what we do next!!

Singing In The Rain

Last week we had a "Real Summer Rain"!!
No thunder
No lighting

Do you remember as a child how much fun it was to play in the rain??
Splash in the puddles barefoot??
Drink the rain water??
I know I do!!

Our front yard was like a creek when it rained hard and long. I loved getting out there and wading my feet.

Sophie Clare LOVES outside and now if we cant go out because it is to hot, dark or raining, she wants to go on the porch.
Here is her first time to really get to play in the rain and she had such a blast!! I can't wait till that next real Summer Rain!!

Enjoy the pics!!

At first she just barely put her head in the drip!
She was very pleased with just a drip!

Just a little more dripping on the head made her so happy!!

More she would say and of course I was like sure go ahead!! haha

An before we knew it, SOPHIE CLARE was SOAKED!!

She was so excited and proud!!

YAY!! I am I sipping soppy wet!!

Then she decided to go out and clean her B B "aka" scooter. She cleaned and shined on that thing forever!!

Jamie was watching something on tv but I did needed some company while Sophie Clare played in the rain. Its a good thing he could still see the tv. haha

Do you remember me telling you that I was working on my porch "project" about 3 months ago?? haha  Well SLOW is how the process goes. I have paint but cant not find the time to paint it with SC. I did buy a new rug that I want to share with you and I hope to purchase the new fan and light this week!!

Anyways, I hope you all have a great week!!

Sundays

Sundays
I LOVE MY CHURCH!!

I LOVE taking Sophie Clare to church and teaching her about Jesus!!

I love hearing her sing
 God is so Good
This Little Light of Mine
Jesus Loves Me
The B-I-B-L-E and many more.
I also LOVE that on Sunday mornings when we are running around getting ready she KNOWS EXACTLY where WE are GOING!!  She goes down the list of who will be there!!  It is so sweet when Sophie Clare looks at the moon, stars, flowers, sunshine and says GOD.

So how do our Sundays go....................Sunday School, Preaching, Lunch, Nap, Play, Rest, Bible Study, Dinner.
Here are a few pictures from Sunday.

I hope you all have a great week!!

And ye shall them to your children, speaking of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, when thou liest down, and when thou risest up.

Addicted to Green Tea

What Exactly Is Green Tea, Anyway?

Green tea is made using the leaves of the Chinese Camellia sinensis plant that are then applied to heat quickly after picking, either by steam or by dry cooking in hot pans. These methods minimizes oxidation, which is what is thought to give the green tea benefits we have heard so much about.

1. Lowers your risk of cancer.

2. Eases the pain of rheumatoid arthritis

3. Stabilizes your cholesterol levels

4. Prevents cardiovascular disease

5. Boosts your immune system.

6. Promotes weight loss.

7. Reduces tooth decay

8. Effective in the treatment of multiple sclerosis

9. Slows the onset of Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s disease.

10. Fights the cause of allergies in your body

11. Helps to fend off infections

12.Reduces and prevents acne

13. Slows the aging process to prevent wrinkles

I first started drinking the lipton with citrus and realized that it has lots of sugars in it. So, I bought regular green tea bags and added about 3 tablespoons of sugar to a gallon.  It really is like drinking unsweet tea but I am totally HOOKED!!!

Do you drink green tea??
If so,  what kind??

It's Monkey Time

The library does a fabulous job entertaining us through the Summer.  On Friday's they always have something special for the Summer Reading Program.  This past Friday, they held a very cute animal show. The whole gang was there. Emily, Gracie, Luke, Matia Grace and Max.
This monkey has on pants!!
Emily and Gracie were very tickled at this monkey. He was kind of on the wind side.  She jumped around and ended up knocking over the table. Sophie Clare was a little nervous. She loves animals on tv, books about animals but get her up close with one...............Well she is just a little unsure!!

Can't wait to see what the library has up there sleeve next!!
