Awana Awards

This past Wednesday night we ended our Awana year with Awards. This year has really flown by and the kiddos have grown so much. Sophie Clare was a Puggle this year and then sometimes she was a Cubbie. My class was just down the hall and it was hard to keep her in her Puggle class. She done really well coming in my class. She would try hard to do what the other did. She has grown so much this year.

Bouncing and Playing With Old and New Friends

Hello to my readers and bloggers!
 It is so hard to pull away from the sofa after I rock Sophie Clare to sleep. All I want to do is lay there and get sucked into the tv. Not a good thing, I am aware that I DVR way to much tv. I don't even want to blog about what all I watch.......That would make me really sad, my mom would probably get on to me :) not a bad thing I love her for holding me accountable!  I plan on not getting into so much when the Summer shows start. :)
 Anyways, what do you all think about this new blogger that we have?? It is taking me a little time to get used to where all of my buttons are. All in all I think it is going to be good!


What have we been up to?
Busy little bees I tell you and not even meaning to be. It is just happening day by day.
Last week my bestest Andrea and her home group"church" were going to the bouncy place and was sweet enough to ask Sophie Clare and I to tag along. The girls I met were super sweet. Sophie Clare was SOOOO EXCITED. She had been talking about going to the bouncy place for a while so I was glad we went.  I love doing things for her and making her smile.  She told me several times that she was having fun! :) That makes my heart very happy!

This past Wednesday another girl Andrea was meeting another girl from her home group at the park for play time and a picnic. Again my bestest was sweet enough to ask us to tag along.  Sophie Clare loves to play and we have picnics at home all the time. There is just something about eating lunch outside. ;-)

Our Little Model

We had a wonderful weekend full of fun! It all started with the my sweet nieces spending the night with my parents. That meant we had a day full of excitement  for Saturday.

My friend Andrea told me about a fashion show that she was putting Matia Grace and Max in and I decided to sign Sophie Clare up. It was sponsered by The Secret Garden on Court Street in Gadsden.  Saturday night I told her that she was going to model a dress and she told  me no. ha I said yes you are. I showed her how to walk and twirl. She just smiled, giggled and said no. lol She is a mess. 

After church. we headed to the fashion show.  We got our number which was #30, that concerned me a bit considering no nap.  Andrea and the kiddo were already getting changed and we joined right in. Sophie Clare really wanted to put on a t shirt. I told her she could put one on as soon at we finished.  She looked like a doll in her dress.

We hung outside as long as we could just to pass the time.  I was not sure how long we would have to wait. They had a photographer there to take pics and I thought we would try it. A lady was going to put Sophie Clare's hand on the chair and she lost it.  Crying so hard.......  Bless her little shy heart. Thankfully, I took some pics myself.  

We did not have to wait long at all. They were really quick in moving the kids through. The "volunteers" of The Secret Garden were walking the kids to where they needed to go. I knew that Sophie Clare would not walk with them. I asked if I could walk her through.......at first they really wanted to do it but saw really quick that Sophie Clare was not going to let go of my neck. 

She walked up by herslef then held my hand. Here she is checking out the bubbles.

As soon as we got to the bottom of the steps, she saw all of those people and had not intensions of walking through them. So I of course carried her the rest of the way.

We had a lot of fun and enjoyed doing it.

 Today she said she wanted to go back and twirl.

5 Little Birds In A Nest

Yesterday we went to check on the baby Blue birds. You could hear them chirping as we were walking up. The mommy was holding a worm in her mouth ready to feed. I would have love to got a pic of that. The mommy flew up to the power line to let us look at her babies. When we opened it up, I could not believe my eyes. They had grown so much. These 5 little baby birds were all piled one on top of the other. It looks to me like it will not be long till they take flight!

We have been playing, cleaning, grocery shopping, cooking, and playing with friends.

Pretty good week, I would say!

Sophie Clare is going to be the next roller derby girl! ;-)

On Tuesday when we got out and about. We went to Johnson's (grocery store) to pick up some meat. We always see fire trucks there. The men are usually getting lunch. Sophie Clare loves fire trucks and wanted to go see it. We past the firemen on the way and I let them know that we were going to look at the truck. He walked over with us and offered for SC to sit in it. Her shyness to hold and she would not have any part of it.  While we were checking out, the sweet fireman came back in and gave Sophie Clare a dog and a note from a little girl. It was super sweet and she was so excited about it.

I am just guessing but I am think they must give these to children when maybe there is a house fire or wreck ect. If I am right, I think it is a very good idea!

While at Wal-Mart we looked through the 75% off Easter goods and found some fake nails. They are super cute with an Easter scene on each of them. They have stickers so it is easy to put on.

She loves them!

Spring Pictures Of Sophie Clare

A couple of weeks ago, I took Sophie Clare down to my mom's to get some Spring pics. I really wish that I had taken some when the daffodils were in bloom but it just seems so early to think about Spring pic in February. I was a little concerned on how she would do but I think they turned out super cute! I am going to edit a couple of them to hang in the house!
