Lots to catch you guys up on but I am going to start with this post.
Why?
Because my daughter is unbelievable.
She is amazing, determined and strong.
We had a busy day today with no nap. We stopped by my grandmothers for just a min on the way home and Sophie Clare had shed her socks and shoes in the car. Who could blame her?? It was 80 degrees today! Anyways, she ended up with a splinter in her big toe. It was not hurting her but it bothered her. She ended up pulling out half of it at mawmaw's. I told her to not mess with it anymore till we got home. It looked deep and I was afraid that it would have to "fester". When we got home, she insisted that I work on it. I got the tweezers and a needle. I did not show her anything but the tweezers but I pulled the needle out first and she did not move. I dug around for a bit and pulled some of the skin back to try to see the splinter. It was way deep. I tried to get her to just let me leave it because I was afraid of making it sore. She was having no part of it. She wanted to do it if I wasn't.
See, a real life pointy sharp needle in her toe and she did not care. How many 3 year olds do you know that would let you do this. :-) I could not believe it.
It looked like the thickest and deepest splinter ever!
What was she doing while all of this was going on?? At first she was watching TV, then she was watching, then she thought she would measure the situation!
Finally!
YAY!!
I got it out!
I was super excited but Sophie Clare.........not so much. She wanted me to put it back in and dig a little more. Sophie Clare you are such a mess! ;-)
I hope you all have a great Sunday!
