Thankgiving 2014

Our Thanksgiving was laid back with lots of yummy food. 

I made a pumpkin pie for the first time. 

Jamie gave it 2 thumbs up! 

His little granny always made him pumpkin pie and she would give him one to take home.

 I wanted him to still have one even though she is not with us.

Carver and Sophie Clare played by themselves for a while. 

They are 2 peas in a pod. 

Then finally they joined the other cousins.

Fashion Tips for Fall 2011

I am always wanting and making sure that I know what is in style! I have been this way as long as I can remember! I will say that I dress pretty classic but LOVE to have several trendy pieces in my closet. Seems that since I have had Sophie Clare, I find it more important that she looks good!  haha  So I do not shop for myself as much as I used to! That is ok with me........I love dressing her up!  :-)

First Day Of Fall

Today is the very first day of Fall!!

Thanksgiving, Black Friday & Iron Bowl

I am finally posting a little something about Thanksgiving. It seems that is just gets scooped to the side in the blog world because of Sophie Clare's birthday. 

Anyways..................................

We spent Thanksgiving at my parents.  Mom and dad cooked for all of us. The food was so yummy!! Gracie and Sophie Clare was not happy about the other sitting in GRAN'S lap during lunch.  While all of this crying was going on Emily stands up with a big smile on her face and says " This is the worstest Thanksgiving ever"  We all just laughed.   We all loved our meal and really enjoyed a relaxing day.  It was really nice not having to go anywhere else. 

So, what did we do all day...........................

Well, we played outside, rode 4 wheelers and  visited next door at my Aunt and Uncle house.

My brother, Emily and Sophie Clare were on one 4-wheeler while my dad, Gracie and were on the another. We seem to be headed on a great ride with the kiddos until we hit briars.  Then we all had a melt down and headed back to Gran and Pop's.

Baby Owen was visiting from SC. He is such a good baby!!

Emily and Madison had a blast playing with each other!!

Thats about it for Thanksgiving!

BLACK FRIDAY

Did you go??

We did!!

We got Sophie Clare up and headed to the mall. I loved being out with the hustle and bustle of it all. We did not go for anything special other than just to be out and about. We ended up with a new video camera and me some new boots so it was a great trip!!

When we got home the tree was leaning a bit so Jamie and Sophie Clare got to work on it.

They fixed it right up!!

We went to the Wehunts to enjoy the game.

I think this was the very first game that I watched from beginning to end.

I have a very short attention span!!

Playing Catch Up

Friday afternoon, we headed out to my friend Jennifer's. It had been forever since we had just got to hang out. Fot that matter, the kiddos had not got to play in months.  Everyone was glad to see each other.

Can you believe that Maddie is 4 and has already lost her 1st tooth. She even has a couple more loose. That is just totally wild to me.  She is about to have one of the cutest birthday parties ever.

 He is full of energy and all boy.

They all played really well together which is always nice for us adults to just sit and talk!!

Finally

Hello Blog Land!!

I am finally back!!

I took a short break from it all.

So what have we been up to..........

Well, let me start with Friday. We went to Birmingham with my parents for CHRISTMAS VILLAGE at the BJCC.  For those that are not familar with it.....it is a HUGE craft show and I absolutely LOVE it.  I have gone every year for about 13 year. I may have skipped once or twice. When we got home, it was time to rest up for LADIES night. Which was total fun!!

On to SATURDAY, our church was having a yard sale to start rasing money for a mission trip to Africa. It was soooooo cold but we got up anyways. Sophie Clare even went  but needless to say the wind was whipping so we did not stay long. I did find some really great things though!! When we got home all we relaxed for the rest of the day.  We did not get ready at all, it was a lazy kind of day. Jamie was sweet enough to go do the grocery shopping for us! YAY JAMIE!!

Now for SUNDAY.......Church, eat, nap, creek and back to church.

Finally Monday................

Dust, Sweep, Mop, Laundry, made chicken salad, nap, Wal-Mart, play outside, cook dinner, go to mawmaws, go to Gran and Pops, bath time and finally night night time.

We had a very busy day as you can see. So today we are going to go and enjoy lunch at the church with the wonderful Senior Adults.

Imagination Place

Hello All!

Yesterday was an exciting day!  Why you ask??  In downtown Gadsden there is a place called The Imgination Place.  For many years, I have walked past there and would see all the children playing. I would stand there watching them , dreaming of the day that I would get to take my little one to play!!   I am so thankful for Sophie Clare! She brings me so much joy in my life!!

We met my friend. Andrea and her 2 sweet little ones........Matia Grace and Max. Andrea's mom was sweet to come and help with Max.

Inside, it looks like a little mini towm. So, cute with a doctors office, bank, kitchen, Piggly Wiggly, tree house, slide and much more.

Sophie Clare came in and the first thing she did was sit on the little bench.

Wem played in the doctors office a bit before out friends got there.

33 inches tall!!

She is a long tall sally!

We enjoyed cooking and eating a snack.

We also did a little digging.

Andrea and Matia Grace.

Sophie Clare wrote out some plans for the building.

I wonder what she will be when she grows up??

No matter what she decides to do, I will be so prowd of her and support her 100%!!

Sweet Max, he was the best baby!!

They even have fire hats, and a fire pole.

Looking at all the "stuffed" animals......they were a little sad looking.

 I think they needed to be adopted.

And this is what I would call the "Slide of Death". Sophie Clare wanted to go down it pretty bad. It was a winding tunnel and she was not sure about it. Finally I held her hand and ended up letting her go. All you could hear  was THUMP THUMP........I was scared she was rolling down it.  Tammy was at the end of it ans said she was fine. She smiled and acted like she wanted to do it again......... but we did not.

We had so much fun and can not wait till our next play date!!
