Sunday morning, we all woke up as usual and got ready for church. In the meantime, I realized that the Hot Air Balloon Festival was going and that Sunday was it's last day. I have been before and LOVED it and I knew I wanted to take Sophie Clare. I mentioned to Jamie and to much surprise, he said let's go after church.
I was so excited and could not wait to get there!!
We hurried home, packed the car and headed to Point Mallard. We picked a spot in the shade to put our quilt down to enjoy the day. I did not look at the list of events before we left and when we got there we realized that the balloons would not go up till around 6ish. So we had a lot of time to play on the quilt and enjoy each others company. I carried a few things for Sophie Clare to do but will do much better for next year.
She got creative and played with sticks. She would pile them up in a pile and then throw each one of them. haha
A family sat next to us and was super sweet. They had brought there wagon and was kind enough to let Sophie Clare play in it. There little girl even pulled her around a bit.
I was sure that Sophie Clare would have taken a nap on the way but nooooooo.
She was a trooper and was great. When she gets really tired she wants her milk milk in a bottle. We NEVER have this in public but this particular day, I did not care. haha
She also played in my lipstick forever!
She played with her daddy's hat and really strutted her stuff.
She watched some girls hula hoop.
I carried bubbles and her art box that my dad made her with all kids of goodies. I will know next year to carry a few more things!!
Next up the HOT AIR BALLOONS!!
