Cathedral Caverns

We have lived within 45 mins of such a magnificent place. 

Cathedral Caverns in Grant is the most AMAZING place. If you are local, you should go!  The cave is huge and the history is amazing!! 

Grant also has an over look that is a great photo op. ;-) 

When we got to our destination, we were about an hour early.  We shopped in the gift shop and check out the beautiful butterfly. 

Sophie Clare got a cool miners hat and she loved it!! 

The cave opening was huge!! 

At the end of the blog post there is a good pic of the opening. 

I was telling Sophie Clare if I was home schooling her, this would be an amazing science lesson. 

  I wanted her to know the difference between stalactites and stalagmites.

 She loves non-fiction. 

This was the old bridge that the man that discovered used to explore. 

This was beautiful! 

The mans wife did not approve of his cave venture but 2 years later she decided to go into the cave. She fell in love with this room. It was amazing!! She was a photographer and loved to photograph Cathedrals. When she went into this room, she saw colums and organ pipes.

We  had such a good time and I am so glad that we were able to see this amazing creation.
