Santa's Village

Saturday afternoon, we went to Huntsville to try and finish up our Christmas shopping.
Target was a mad house not only with shoppers but with Sophie Clare. She was awful!! She would not ride in a buggy........No matter what I did.  All she wanted to do was walk, so I tried that for a while but then she would not stay with us.  Oh I was so aggervated .When we finished at Target, we went to Parkway Place Mall.  I told SC that she would have to ride in her stroller and be a good girl. blah blah blah  She was fabulous!! A totally different child. She loved riding in her stroller on the escalators.  I did get A LOT of my shopping done so I was thankful for that. Now that we had all that shopping out of the way, it was time for the fun to begin. We headed historic downtown to Santa's Village . It was a little colder than I would have liked but I layered Sophie Clare up.  We are going to make this a tradition! It is just way to much fun to miss out on.

Enjoy the pictures from out visit.

Here we are in Santa's sleigh.
His reindeer were in a pin next to it resting up for the big night!!
It took Sophie Clare a little bit to get warmed up and want to get down.
We stopped off for a quick snowman picture (in a hole). She did so good. She stepped right in and peeked out the hole.

Sophie Clare LOVES trains or as she calls them choo choo's. She would have stood and watched the train for a while if I would have let  her. haha

They have several rooms decorated for Christmas. One is a little girls bedroom and it is adorable with gifts galore.

It is all so magical for the children as well as adults.
You can listen to Mrs Clause tell a story,  write Santa a letter, visit with Santa, decorate cookies, make a craft and even visit Santa's toy shop.

This is the cutest icicle maze.
I did not think Sophie Clare would even be interested in it but she was all about it.

Here she is in the maze........which way do I go??

We even stopped for a photo at the Christmas Tree Farm.

Frosty, Mr Gingerbread Man, The Peguin, &  The Soldier Teddy Bear were all there and Sophie Clare did not like any of them.  I wanted to get our picture made with at least one of them because we did last year. haha

Why Jamie did not center us up, UMMMMM , I am not sure??

Just a couple more pics because my sweet baby was sooooo cold!!

We had a great time and look forward to next year.  We were all hungry and cold, so Chillis was calling our name. For it to be 8:30 at night in a resturant, Sophie Clare was so good!!  Now the ride home was a different story. She was ok till about Albertville and she started screaming. I gave her a bottle, the dvd was playing..........just go to sleep.  NO, NO........she cries so much, she THROWS up. just great!!   We got home, took a bath and Sophie Clare was as happy as she could be.
Despite the hardships, it was well worth  the trip!!
Click here to take a look at last year!!

Those picture are just ADORABLE! It will be so fun to look at them every year if you do make it a tradition. She is getting so big- and looking more like you every day!
