We had been looking forward to the beach all Summer. I know that in Sophie Clare's little mind, she probably thought she was not ever going. Finally the day arrived, we were packed and ready to go. We left around 8:15.
Sophie Clare was super excited and so was I! I could not wait to see her sweet face at the beach!
We stopped off in Calera to rest and let her play on the trains!

We are looking forward to going back to Calera in December for the North Pole Express! ;-)
We also stopped at Bass Pro Shops which she LOVED, and ate lunch at Olive Garden! I love there salad!!
After our rest in Calera and Prattville, we only made 1 more bathroom break before we got to the beach!
When we got up to our room, Sophie Clare was beside herself and could not wait to change into her bathing suit. It was about 4:30 and the weather was beautiful!
We stayed in the same condo as we did last year and we love it! It is super nice and reasonable! Sophie Clare remembered the toy closet from last year and went straight for it!
She sat down and started playing right off!
She loved it!
After she played for a while, it was time to introduce her to the ocean for the 3rd year.
She was a pro!
Uh-Oh........trying to make a run for it! ;-)
We decided to stay in that night and cook. Everything is fun at the beach when you can hear the waves crashing! I had brought Sophie Clare a suprise with us and I could not wait to give it to her.
Her face was priceless!!
She was so excited to have a new car seat for her baby.
We had a fabulous first day and enjoyed taking our time getting there.
My favorite thing about the first day was seeing how excited Sophie Clare was!
