The Longest Yardsale

Hello to all! I hope you all are having a wonderful weekend! It is that fabulous time of the week at Rhoda's to see what thrifty treasures you all found. I can not wait to see who all checked out the longest yard sale. Me and my dad started off Friday morning about 6:45. I had so much fun with my dad. He is such a trooper, he will stop anywhere and dig if you need him to.

My brother Chris was set up on the yard sale. He collects fishing (stuff) and let me say it is well WORTH it. He did AWESOME!!

There were tons of people that I would call regulars. You know the ones I am talking about........the ones that look like they do it for a living......weekend after weekend. I saw tons of glass stuff, lots of homemade things. I wanted stuff out of your house!!!

I will not say that I was disappointed in what I found, I just did not find a lot. I of course found some things for Sophie Clare and only a couple of things for myself.

I got this frame for $2.00.......I plan to paint it a different color.

This frame was only $1.00 and I am going to leave it just the way it is.

OK, this was not found on the longest yard sale but I could not wait to show it! I went to GW on Thursday and ran across the croquet set. I have always wanted one.....I walked away and walked right back. I had to have it for only $6.00!! WOW!! I could not believe it!! Jamie of course wanted to know why I bought it ........WHY......because I wanted it!! HEHE

Happy Thrifting!!

You lucky girl, I wish I could have gone on the YS. Maybe next year I can plan for it. Great finds!

Ok, I'm a dunce, what is the "longest yard sale?" Was this a nation wide event or just a couple of counties?

You found so many marvelous things! I love those frames!

Have a great week!

I'm just so amazed, because you're not the first to say that they came away with very little from that sale! Maybe it was just too overwhelming, because there was sooo much stuff. It's definitely something I want to do some day!

Just let me say that I am so jealous that you went to the longest yard sale! I've always wanted to go but I live in south AL (very, very south) and haven't made the trip yet. Looks like so much fun though & your finds are great!

I keep looking for a croquet set that is reasonably priced- least expensive has been $12, but it was a little beat up.... so now I want one in your price range...LOL and in as good a shape as yours appears to be! fantastic job of rooting it out on your journey!
